Egg Tartlets. It's Easter Day.

It's about time I wave my magic in the kitchen. Let's use whatever we can imagine and turn them into reality. It's like a kid drawing stick figures on a drawing block. Just go with the flow. Haha. Hmm what shall I make?

A few weeks ago, I borrowed two recipe books off the library shelves. After browsing through them, I decided on egg custard tartlets.

Cassey asked me why I'm reading cookbooks. She said guys don't normally cook on their own accord. Yea for someone. LOL. It's not true. I wanted to pick up culinary skill so that I won't die of starvation in Scotland.
Let's see... I did some shopping at NTUC and a nearby dish utensil shop. It's time I start cracking.

Both my mum and bro commented that my tartlets lack the sweetness that you find in egg tarts from confectionery. I added two full packets of sugar. Haiyo I thought there was too much sugar in my egg custard paste. Hence I topped it up with water to dilute it down.

Phew... no dilution questions in the kitchen. Or else I will be sitting down, punching my calculator and asking myself what's the conc? vol? What?! It's weekend.

I baked two trays and I ran out of egg custard paste. Hence I gathered a few simple ideas. Strawberry jam, kiwi, cherry tomatoes. I baked fruit tarts. There isn't any recipe for my fruit tarts. Just gauge it based on my instinct.

Let's call it a day. I'm so glad that it's an Egg Tartlets Easter Day in the kitchen.
